Meyer Papenburg has hand over the first cruise liner – worldwide - with low-emission “liquefied natural gas” (LNG) to Aida Cruises. It is the first cruise vessel of a new generation with a "Green Cruising" concept to reduce pollutant emissions. In total, three cruise vessels of the Helios-class need to be delivered.
This vessel is 337 m long, 42 m wide, has 184.000 GT and offers a sleeping capacity for more than 5.000 guests in 2.626 cabins.
Also this time we were involved and were allowed to install our ship deck coverings for the Meyer shipyard - as well as various outfitting companies with further 21 individual orders.
During the construction phase more than 110,000 m² of our ship deck coverings on basis of different requirements were installed in various areas (suites, cabins, theaters, restaurants, bars, lounges, kitchens and cold storage rooms).
Among others, following high quality products by G. Theodor Freese GmbH were installed:
5.500 m² TEFROTEX® 60-L + TEFROKA® PU-1-L – Galley construction
40.000 m² TEFROTEX® 90-L - Self-leveling lightweight deck covering
1.110 m² TEFROKA® PU-1-L - Resin Floors
200 m² TEFROLITH® FTG-35 A60 - Insulating Floor
We at Freese - from the beautiful hanseatic city of Bremen - wish all guests a good time on board of AIDAnova and a safe walk on our floorings.
